For me being an Early Childhood preschool director is a journey of love. I truly enjoy caring, nuturing and guiding our preschoolers. I have a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis and a Masters of Education from the University of Missouri St. Louis. Our purpose here is to Bodly Share the Love of Christ by bringing the "Good News" of the Gospel to children. We support our families and lead the children to grow in faith. We are thankful to be able to share this journey with parents

Young children's brains are growing at a rapid pace, and it is our job as parents and educators to let them experience the world around them with their five senses. I want to engage the whole child! Just as important for children is gaining comfort in learning how to be away from the home for learning, how to get along with new friends, and how to expand their vocabulary or motor skills without pressure. Much of this happens through independent and structured play, circle time, singing, and games. I will provide parents with information and skills inventories to make sure your little one is achieving or surpassing the appropriate milestones in their life.

I enjoy time with my family which includes two daughters, my hubby and two weimaraners. In my free time, I enjoy watching old movies, reading, and planning activities at church. My favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 17:17 "A friend loves at all times" a simple yet powerful verse for all ages.

I am looking forward to another fun and exciting year at Abounding Love Preschool!

I have been married to my husband, Brad, for 13 years. We started dating our Junior year in high school and boy am I glad I said yes to that first date! We have three children; Kiarra (11), Kinzie (7) and Karson (3). They keep us busy with various sports and activities, and we love it!

We have lived in Lee's Summit for 9+ years, and I can't imagine living anywhere else! I enjoying reading, walking/running, doing arts and crafts with my children and getting outdoors as much as possible. We love to explore!

Our middle child, Kinzie, attended Abounding Love for her preschool needs, and we fell in love with the school and staff. I jumped at the opportunity to be part of such a wonderful program last year as a Preschool Prep Assistant. This year I am looking forward to continuing my journey with Abounding Love in the Pre-K classroom! I truly enjoy interacting with children and seeing their curiosity and love for learning grow each day. There's nothing better than seeing a child's face light up when they realize, "I did it!"

Thank you for sharing your children with us. It's going to be another great school year!

My name is Jennifer Larsen. My husband, Joel, and I have been members of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church for a little over two years now. We joined the church soon after moving to Lee's Summit when my husband retired from active duty with the Marine Corps. Joel and I have been married for 19 years and we have three children; Ben (18), Meghan (14) and Sam (11). We feel very blessed to call the members of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church our church family.

Working with children is a very strong calling in my life; as is sharing the good news of our Savior's unending love, grace and mercy. Since we joined Beautiful Savior I have been blessed with the opportunity to do both. I have volunteered to teach 1st and 2nd grade Sunday School, helped with 5th and 6th grade Service Adventures at VBS, and I am a mentor for the FIRE Junior High Youth Group and the BLAZE Senior High Youth Group.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Park College in 1997. Since then I have worked as a Team Teacher/Para Professional in third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, sixth grade, the Title I Reading Program and with the Autism/Intellectual Disability Classroom (K-6). I have been the lead classroom teacher in 3-year- old preschool and second grade.

In October of 2015, I was fortunate enough to be Alicia Rodick's assistant in her Tuesday/Thursday afternoon class, as well as, substituting as needed in all the classrooms at Abounding Love. I am very excited to continue as a part of the Abounding Love Preschool program as the Lead Preschool Teacher.

I strive to create a love for learning that is essential to the foundation of a child's education. I want my students' first school experience to be in a classroom that is a safe, loving, and encouraging atmosphere so that they become empowered learners. Preschoolers are developmentally at an age where they primarily learn by doing and through play. We will sing, dance, play and create while learning essential academics, how to socialize with our peers, developing our fine and gross motor skills and encouraging our cognitive development.

I strive to create a Christ-centered classroom where we share God's Word, which we are so blessed to do at Abounding Love Preschool. I believe there is no greater gift that you can give a child than to teach them about our loving God. I want to be a part of helping them begin to build a life-long relationship with Him which will be a strong cornerstone for their lives.

I am so excited to be a part of Abounding Love Preschool, and I cannot wait to meet my new students and their families!

Preschool Assistant Teacher

Pam Lampe

I am so excited to be an assistant teacher in the Preschool classroom with Miss Jenn.

My husband Paul, and I have lived in Lee’s Summit for 26 years, and Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church has been our church home since we moved here.  We have three children Joshua (18), Mikayla (14), and Zachary (10).

I was born and raised in Iowa and moved to the Kansas City area shortly after graduation from college.  I graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa with a degree in Accounting, where I also minored in Business Management and Psychology.  I worked in the banking industry for 11 years before becoming a stay at home mother and in-home day care provider for the next 12 years.

While working at home, I discovered how much I enjoyed working with children and watching them learn and grow.  Three years ago I began substitute teaching at Abounding Love, and I joined the staff as an assistant teacher a year ago.  I feel so blessed to continue this opportunity.

I look forward to getting to know our new students, and I know that we will all learn a lot together!

Jacqueline Braton

My name is Jacqueline Braton, and I’m very excited to be part of Abounding Love Preschool as a preschool prep assistant this year!

My husband Patrick and I have two children, Alexa (10) and Kellan (4). I was born and raised in Juarez, Mexico until I moved to Kansas City during my junior year of high school. I graduated with an Associates of Arts degree from Metropolitan Community College while working full time for the state of Missouri in the mental health department as a Psychiatric Technician.  After my son Kellan was born, I was blessed to be a stay at home mom. I am grateful to have been able to be home with my kids and enjoy watching them grow up! I love to travel, read books outside and enjoy nature, have fun with my family and baking decadent desserts for all.

Two years ago our family attended Ascension Lutheran Church while living in Blue Springs, MO. After moving to Greenwood, MO our family started looking for a new home to serve the Lord. We fell in love with Beautiful Savior and have not looked back since then. My son Kellan started preschool at Abounding Love last year, and I knew I wanted to be a part of this amazing school.

We couldn’t be more thankful for the outstanding work that the teachers and every member of the program do for our kids. I can’t wait to be a part of this fantastic team and work with everyone this year!

Hello! I’m Mrs. Stacy Gordey (Pronounced Gor-day). I am anxious to spend the upcoming year with you and your child/family.

My husband Gary and I live in Lee’s Summit with our youngest child Brock. He loves to play outside with Family and Friends. He loves to play Baseball, bowling, football, and basketball! Our daughters, Courtney and Mercedes, are cheerleading coaches. Courtney coaches for ActiveStars and is a preschool teacher here in Lee’s Summit. She lives in Harrisonville. Mercedes coaches for CMAS in Columbia and is a full time nanny. She lives in Fulton, Missouri. It seems as if we blinked and the girls were grown and out on their own!

I believe all children deserve an active, safe, but meaningful, learning environment. I will encourage them to observe and explore. Yes, at times we will get messy! No worries, throw those clothes in the washer, and they will be clean as new! I am blessed to be returning to Abounding Love Preschool. Our days will be filled with adventures!

Pre-K Assistant/Full Time Assistant Lead Teacher

Heather Kleinsasser

I am excited to be joining the Abounding Love Preschool team this year! I will be the Assistant Lead Teacher in the afternoon Full Time classroom. I will also be an Assistant Teacher in Ms. Stephanie’s classroom on Tuesday & Thursday mornings.

I was born and raised in Pierre, South Dakota. I attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD, where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development, Child and Family Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood and a minor in Sociology. My degree has allowed me to work in a variety of settings. Initially, I worked as a Child Care Counselor in a residential treatment center’s assessment and short-term care unit. Our team evaluated and cared for children with emotional disorders and behavioral issues. When my husband’s education path relocated us to Chicago, I was hired by TeacherCare. TeacherCare places teachers and child care specialists with families to provide care and education in their home. I was fortunate to be with the same family for four years. We shared such a bond that we are still very close friends today! Following my husband’s graduation, he accepted a fellowship in the Kansas City area, so we made our home in Olathe. We fell in love with Kansas City and decided to stay! I was a Lead Teacher at Olathe Head Start for two years before becoming a stay at home mother. While raising our children, I enjoyed volunteering in their classrooms and being a member of the PTA.

My husband, Kelsey, and I have lived in Lee’s Summit for 15 years. Our sons, Aidan (16) and Cullen (13), keep us very busy with all of their sports and activities. Stella Luna, our black Lab, completes our family! We enjoy cooking together, trying new restaurants, watching movies, fishing and traveling!

I am very happy to be returning to the classroom. I can’t wait to meet all of our students and families! I look forward to contributing to a fun and exciting learning environment and making this a wonderful year at Abounding Love Preschool!

Full Time Class Assistant Teacher

AshLee Calder

Hi, I’m AshLee Calder, and I’m so excited to be the assistant teacher in the full time room this year.

I have four kids, Kelly, Porter, Clark, & Cole, and a man, Sean. We’ve been a part of the Abounding Love family for a little over 4 years now. All four kids have either went to school here or attended summer camp.

I’m usually a stay at home mom since Sean travels for work. With having four kids, it’s just easier to be available where I’m needed. This year however everyone is involved in some type of school program, and I can finally take a little time for me and get involved in helping in a program I love dearly.

We attend Summit Park Church where I’m actively involved in hospitality and students. With students, I help with "One Night" and help lead the Freshman Life Groups. It’s such a blessing to be able to be there as a Godly role model for kids entering high school. I hope to remind them that they’re strong, and God is there for them.

I'm so excited to be a part of Abounding Love this year, and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me, as well as all the little ones here.
