STEPHANIE WOOD

Hello, my name is Stephanie Wood, and I am a lifelong resident of Lee’s Summit. I am excited for another year on the Abounding Love Preschool team! I am a Pre-K teacher! I have enjoyed working with and being a positive role model in the lives of children for 26 years and counting.

I am the proud momma to five children, four sons and one daughter. I can usually be found cheering on my boys from the sidelines of a soccer field or cheering on  my daughter while she does gymnastics.  My two older boys graduated from Lee’s Summit High School and then University of Central Missouri. I have a freshman in college at Rockhurst University, a sophomore at Lee’s Summit High School, and my daughter is in 4th grade.

I am a crazy animal lover and have filled some of the quiet in my house as my children grow and move out on their own by fostering puppies and dogs.  

I have my bachelor’s in early childhood education and have worked in different areas of the early childhood education field. I have taken a few course towards my master’s degree in elementary education. I have been a teacher in the classroom and a director in a preschool. It is my passion to work with children and be a positive influence as they grow as lifelong learners. I strive to meet the individual needs of children and create meaningful relationships with families to ensure success on each child’s educational journey.
